Book Talk

One of the most prominent events organized by Thames International College, the Book Talk Series has become a popular forum for authors, school faculty and students to engage in creative talk outside the classroom.

Crafting a room for readers where they can acquire insights of how a book came into being and a platform for eminent authors to converse about their process of book writing, book talk series is an approach to get acquainted with the journey of the author .

It is a program that captures author’s words about their books and often the story behind the story. Book Talk Series features wide range of talented writers, hear authors read from their books, purchase a copy and have it signed at the end of the program. The key purpose of the series is to learn about the creative process that gets such shrewd stories told.


Book Talk with Binod Chaudhary

‘Binod Chaudhary-My Story from the Streets of Kathmandu to a Billion Dollar Empire’ is an inspiring autobiography of Nepal’s first billionaire, also translated into English. At a book talk organized by Thames International College at the David J. Rusk Library on 1st March, 2016, Mr. Chaudhary gave us insights into his autobiography, as an author and an entrepreneur.

On January 25, 2017 Thames International College Organized a book talk with Mr. Rookmangud Katawal. The bold and outspoken author and former Army General delivered a talk on his autobiography, ‘Title here,’ providing the audience with insight into Nepali politics and his journey into the army.
