The CDC offers individual career counseling to students to help them identify their strengths, interests, and career goals. The career counselors assist students in exploring different career options, evaluating their skills and qualifications, and creating a personalized career plan. The CDC also provides support to students who are unsure of their career path, offering guidance and resources to help them make informed decisions.
The Career Development Center at Thames International College is dedicated to helping students prepare for their future careers. The center provides a range of services, including career counseling, job search assistance, and networking events. The center also offers a Work-Study Program, where students can apply and work in the Writing Center, IT Center, Math Center, Career Development Center, and PR and Media Center. This program is basically a paid internship where students can be prepared for the real world.
A Work-Study Program is a financial aid initiative that enables students to work part-time while studying. It helps them earn money to cover educational expenses like tuition and living costs. These on-campus or approved off-campus positions are designed to accommodate academic schedules, offering valuable work experience and enhancing students' professional skills. Beyond financial support, Work-Study Programs foster responsibility and self-reliance, promoting a balanced approach to education.
To apply for the Work-Study Program, students must send their resume and cover letter to careerservices@thamescollege.edu.np or call 9801088981. The career services team will review applications, matching students with suitable positions. Successful applicants will receive notifications with further instructions.
