Rishi Amatya graced the premises of Thames International College at the David J. Rusk Library to discuss his recent publication, "Radha: Wrath of the Maeju," on January 26. Prior to the Book Talk, students had the unique opportunity to join the author on a Heritage Walk through Patan Museum and Patan Durbar Square. This immersive experience brought the book’s themes and stories to life, as participants explored the ancient architecture, age-old tales, and vibrant community that inspired its creation.
About the book:
Radha is a first-of-its-kind fantasy fiction about a young girl who is excited to spend a quiet Saturday in Patan Durbar Square with her brother and uncle. But an earthquake brings her dreams crashing to the ground—along with Patan's temples and palaces—and unleashes forces that threaten everyone she loves. It is the story about how the titular character must overcome her own doubts before she can know what it means to be a god.
