Brinda Bhattacharya has been active in the development sector for nearly five years. She has experience working with women in livelihood programs and supporting children's education. Most recently, she served as the Program Coordinator at Astitwa Nepal, an NGO focused on Gender-Based Violence (GBV). As a Social Work practitioner, she is passionate about educating and mentoring future Social Workers, which led her to join Thames International College as a Social Work Faculty. Additionally, she leads the Thames Community Outreach Project and guides the Social Work Club.

Renowned for her expertise in Gender-Based Violence (GBV), education and research, as well as contemporary issues affecting women, she delivers dynamic and engaging courses, such as Introduction to Social Work and Social Work Practicum to undergraduate students. With a teaching approach that emphasizes critical thinking and practical applications, Brinda Bhattacharya inspires students to excel academically and prepares them to tackle real-world challenges.
Beyond teaching, she actively contributes to academic research, further enriching the intellectual community at Thames.
