Hello,
I am Karan Humagain serving as the Club Coordinator of the Thames Theatre Club for the 2025–2026 tenure. I am a
business student, but art has always been a beautiful contrast in my life. From working as a musician in plays to coordinating theatre, it has been a dramatic and fulfilling journey. I have
always been curious about the process of forming plays—where, in the beginning, no one knows what will be created. The process itself is fascinating and has always amazed me with its magic.
The Thames Theatre Club (TTC) is a living canvas where ideas breathe, emotions speak, and stories take human form through collective creativity. Every idea is welcomed and valued with kindness, creating a safe and inclusive space for expression. The club actively involves students in all aspects of theatre, including acting, music, set and prop design, lighting, workshops, and audience engagement. TTC also encourages open discussions on society, art, and human psychology, allowing members to grow both creatively and personally.
In the coming days, TTC wishes to collaborate with interest-based clubs such as the Music Club, Dance Club, Kriye Club, and the Writing Centre to foster interdisciplinary creativity. Planned initiatives include organizing workshops on theatre, music, art, filmmaking, writing, and playwriting, as well as hosting weekly Acting Playgrounds or Open Mic sessions for poetry, music, and other forms of expression. The club also plans to showcase performances developed through these workshops, culminating in a grand play at the end of the tenure. Above all, TTC is committed to creating a sustainable and nurturing creative space where art, dialogue, and community continue to thrive.
