Thames International College successfully hosted Innowave 2025, on August 21st and 22nd, a two-day tech event. This brought together innovators, students, and professionals to explore the future of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies. The event served as a dynamic platform for discussions, workshops, competitions, and exhibitions, blending knowledge-sharing with hands-on experiences.
The first day opened with an insightful session on “The Rising Threat of Cybersecurity” by Simran Karki, addressing the growing challenges in digital safety. This was followed by a thought-provoking panel discussion on “Ethics of AI: Balancing Innovation and Responsibility,” moderated by Dr. Dovan Rai with panelists Adv. Santosh Sigdel, Ms. Deni Shahi, Ms. Yunika Bajracharya, and Mr. Gaurav Pandey. The day concluded with an engaging workshop “AI for Everyone: Build Your First AI App” conducted by Aashutosh Poudel, giving participants a hands-on introduction to artificial intelligence.
The second day featured an inspiring keynote on “The Future of Tech: AI” by Prof. Dr. Sudan Jha, exploring the possibilities and direction of future innovations. The excitement peaked with the Hackathon Grand Finale – Hack4Sustainability, where participants presented their innovative solutions before a panel of judges including Mr. Rohit Jung Karki, Mr. Sunil Gamal, and Ms. Pratiksha Pandey.
Alongside the main sessions, participants showcased their innovative projects for Hack4Sustainability at the Library exhibition. Fun and competitive mini tech games like Debug This, Code in 60 Seconds, Tech Trivia, and Code Relay were hosted, making tech fun and more engaging.
Innowave 2025 highlighted Thames’ commitment to fostering innovation, collaboration, and critical dialogue in technology. By blending expert insights with student creativity, the event encouraged participants to imagine better and build the future of tech more responsibly.
