Heart and Mind Hub and The Writing Center are delighted to invite you to the fourth volume of पाना पर्चा (Paana Parcha). For this edition, we will be reading Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer.
पाना पर्चा is a reading circle-style event where students come together, having read a designated piece of writing, to engage in a meaningful dialogue with their peers. This formal-informal exchange of conversation is to house diverse ideas and encourage intentional conversations. The conversations will fuel a पर्चा about the book that can serve as a documentation of our conversation and encourage more readers to engage with the text.

About the Book
In Braiding Sweetgrass, Robin Wall Kimmerer weaves together scientific knowledge and Indigenous wisdom to explore our relationship with the natural world. Drawing from her background as a botanist and as a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, Kimmerer reflects on how plants, animals, and the earth itself can serve as our greatest teachers. Through stories, traditions, and ecological insights, the book invites readers to recognize the importance of reciprocity, gratitude, and deeper connection with the living world around us.
