Reframe, Reclaim: peeling beyond colonial lenses

Reframe, Reclaim: peeling beyond colonial lenses

The second workshop “Reframe, Reclaim: Peeking Beyond Colonial Lenses” was a convergence of various forms of expression such as art, podcasts, discussions and readings, through which students investigated the process of how stories come into being in different media. Participants reflected on how narratives are formed, reimagined, and how creative practices open space for thinking beyond the familiar and the dominant.

Through listening, collective dialogue, and guided activities, students examined ideas that can surface in the intersections of sound, image, and text.

Reflecting on these layered forms of storytelling ended with a blackout poetry exercise as an invitation to uncover new meanings by altering and reshaping existing texts.
