World Book Day is a worldwide celebration of books and reading, observed annually on different dates in various countries. The main aim of World Book Day is to promote reading, publishing, and copyright, as well as to celebrate the joy of literature and its contribution to cultural enrichment. It serves as a reminder of the importance of books and reading in education, personal development, and cultural exchange. On this occassion, David J Rusk Library is hosting an event.

Here are some highlights of the event:
A. Quiz Competition: (11:oo AM - 12:30 PM)
The quiz will include questions related to literature, general knowledge and the library. It will help students test their reading knowledge as well as their awareness of different topics. The quiz will be fun, interactive and encourage participation, quick thinking and teamwork among students.
B. Creative Craft Activity: Bookmark Making / Book Cover Designing (1:00 PM - 2:00 PM )
Students will have the option to choose between bookmark making or book cover designing.
Bookmark Making: Participants can design and create personalized bookmarks using colors, quotes and illustrations inspired by their favorite books or characters.
Book Cover Designing: Students can redesign the cover of their favorite book or create an imaginative cover for a new story idea. Participants have to make 2 copies of the same bookmark and book cover: 1 for themselves and another for the library.

4. Permanent marker
5. Paint brush
6. Washi Tape
