Barsha Tamang is a committed part-time lecturer at Thames International College, specializing in Sociology. With a solid academic foundation, she is dedicated to delivering quality education and guidance in her field. She is also the co-founder of Lokopakar - an organization working towards creating a safe global platform for girls as well as women, particularly of the Tamang community.
With over 8 years of experience in education and youth empowerment, focusing on adolescent girls, she has impacted over 5000 youths through self-directed initiatives. Barsha Tamang is passionate about grassroot-level projects, working closely with future leaders in government schools and implementing programs that directly enhance students' educational experiences. Having worked in diverse cultural environments, Barsha is skilled in fostering inclusive teamwork and overcoming cross-cultural communication challenges. Furthermore, she is a recipient of "Princess Helen Shah Inspiration Woman of the Year Award," and was a mentee in the Women Leadership Program organized by the UK Embassy.
