The Lead fest: A Taste of Culture, Conversation & Connection

The Leadfest 2025, a three-day celebration that began on July 30th brought together the essence of Thames- a space where ideas meet, stories unfold, and culture thrives. From engaging meet-and-greets and cutting-edge tech project showcases to captivating theatre performances and mouthwatering food stalls, the event offered a dynamic taste of what life at Thames feels like. It all came to an end through an electrifying concert on August 2nd, featuring Sushant ra Raga and the soul-stirring tunes of The Elements.

Thames was a vibrant blend of technology, creativity, and student-led innovation. The festival featured engaging workshops, and tech-driven showcases such as AI Safari, where attendees brought their colored animals to life, and EmoSight, an AI that interpreted emotions through facial recognition.

Student-led initiatives like Nepal Bloodline, a blood and parking assistance app, and Lakshya, a career-guiding platform for +2 graduates, reflected the entrepreneurial spirit fostered at Thames. The social sciences wing curated healing spaces through the Heart and Mind Hub and reflective clay work with Kriye Club, while the students showcased their programs that they led themselves, they had a mini exhibition describing their objective and activities carried out overall.

Simultaneously, the Writing Center invited introspection through prompts and debates. Business and management students showcased AI-based stock price forecasting and guided content creation, bridging education with industry relevance. Fun zones including games like Ring It to Win It, Bullseye Battle, and face painting ensured joyful engagement.

More than just fun, the event offered deep connections. Aspiring students and guests had the chance to engage in meaningful conversations, gain insights into Thames’ core values, and interact with current students providing a real-time introduction to the culture, creativity, and community that defines Thames.
