Skill Up Series 1.0- Workshop by Prajwol Tamrakar

Skill Up Series 1.0, a three-day skill development workshop, was successfully organized by The Management Club on 27th January, 28th January, and 1st February. 

The workshop aimed to enhance participants’ presentation skills, leadership qualities, and professionalism through interactive sessions and practical exposure. A total of 26 participants took part in the program, and all club members were actively present and involved throughout the three days. 

Day 1: Presentation Skills Workshop (27th January) 

The first day began with a welcome address by the President of The Management Club, setting a positive and enthusiastic tone for the workshop. The session was conducted by Soft Skill Trainer Prajwol Tamrakar and focused on effective presentation techniques. 

Participants learned about presentation do’s and don’ts, the importance of using relevant visuals, avoiding excessive animations, and following structured presentation guidelines. The session also emphasized delivery aspects including attire, body language, gestures, voice modulation, and confidence while presenting.

Day 2: Leadership and Professionalism (28th January) 

The session focused on leadership, teamwork, and professional conduct. Leadership was discussed as the ability to influence and uplift others through integrity, empathy, accountability, confidence, and adaptability. Different leadership styles were explained with practical insights. The session further highlighted professionalism, covering punctuality, communication, ethics, attitude, appearance, and responsible behavior in academic and professional environments and ended with the acceptance of Token of Love by the trainer which was handed by the club President.

Day 3: Presentation Competition (1st February) 

The final day featured a Presentation Competition, providing participants with an opportunity to apply the skills gained during the workshop. A total of 9 teams participated in the competition. Each team was assigned appropriate titles, mostly related to corporate, business, and professional themes. Team names were primarily decided by the participants themselves, and for teams that did not submit names, names were assigned by the organizing team. The competition was judged by Debanjana Bhattacharya and Shikha Gautam, who evaluated the teams based on content, clarity, delivery, confidence, creativity, and overall impact. They provided a few feedbacks to the participants and accepted the Token of Love provided by The Management Club. 

Winner: The team received medals and chocolates as gifts,and certificates. 

Runner-ups: The teams were awarded medals and certificates. 

Skill Up Series 1.0 was a successful initiative by The Management Club, providing participants with valuable learning experiences in presentation skills, leadership, and professionalism. The workshop fostered confidence, teamwork, and practical communication skills, leaving participants better equipped for academic, professional, and corporate environments.
