Thames International College proudly celebrates the incredible achievement of our talented alumna, Ms. Nabina Ranabhat (BBA, Class of 2023), for winning the title of Acting Star Nepal 2025 — Nepal’s first-ever reality TV competition dedicated entirely to acting.
Outshining hundreds of participants from across the country, Nabina captivated audiences and judges with her extraordinary performances, authenticity, and passion for storytelling. From the initial auditions among 300+ participants to the grand finale, her journey has been a powerful testament to dedication, artistry, and perseverance. Along with the prestigious title, Nabina received a cash prize of NPR 1.5 million, a world tour, a trophy, and a lead acting role in a feature film.
Nabina’s love for the performing arts began during her school days and blossomed further at Thames. As a committed member of the Thames Theatre Club, she not only graced the stage as a performer but also contributed as a writer, set designer, and eventually served as the Club Coordinator in 2023/24. Her creativity, leadership, and teamwork left an unforgettable mark on the Thames community.
Beyond college, she continued to chase her artistic calling , performing with Rachana Dahal’s travelling theater team and taking the stage at the anniversary concert of Pahenlo Batti Muni, celebrating their Raako Ramita album.
Nabina’s triumph is not just a personal victory , it’s a story of courage, consistency, and belief in one’s craft. She reminds us that dreams, when pursued with heart and resilience, do come true. Her journey inspires students to step beyond fear, embrace their passions, and create their own path.
