Thames organized a three day long workshop on gender by Ankeeta Shrestha. She is the co-founder and Learning Curator at Rooted Learning, where she designs meaningful, memorable learning experiences that help children grow emotionally resilient. With over a decade of experience in strategic learning and development, she has worked on high-impact projects across education, health, and inclusion for organizations like USAID, UNFPA, DFID, and READ Global. Ankeeta brings a deep focus on child psychology, gender equality, and alternative education approaches that empower young learners to thrive.

The workshop encouraged students to engage with the idea of gender, the stereotypes attached to the roles and how one navigates life through it all.This session gave an insight into how gender plays a crucial role in navigating everyday life while discussing the gender roles and different identities attached to these roles and responsibilities. The session focused on discussing the gender, roles and different identities attached to these roles and responsibilities. Additionally, the speaker focused on engaging students in critically analyzing the already existing gendered lens that people so easily apply in their daily life.
