Quiz-o-Mania showcased the power of knowledge, teamwork, and competitive spirit through an engaging and dynamic event that brought together enthusiastic participants in a thrilling intellectual challenge. Organized by the Management Club of Thames on January 31, 2025, this event provided a platform for students to test their knowledge and creativity through five engaging rounds, whilst enhancing their general knowledge, particularly in the field of business.
The five featured rounds entailed:
Round 1: Rapid Resolve
Participants were given a list of 10 questions to answer within 10 minutes. Incorrect answers resulted in a 30-second penalty.
Round 2: Brand Sketch Battle
Participants sketched a brand logo and presented their ideas the to judge, explaining the market representation of their designs.
Round 3: Clue Compass
Participants had to solve two riddles, each within a time limit of 1 minute, to proceed to the next round.
Round 4: Mind Maze
Participants selected chits representing different business sectors and listed 10 startups or businesses within those sectors. Points were awarded based on accuracy.
Round 5: Ultimate Buzz
The two participants who advanced from Round 4 competed in this final round. They answered questions from diverse fields such as history, sports, and international affairs. Correct answers were rewarded with points, determining the ultimate winner and runner-up.
The event concluded successfully, leaving a memorable impact on both participants and attendees. Quiz-o-Mania, the first of more to come, challenged students' intellectual ability, witnessed playful rivalry, and enriched the vibrancy of #LifeAtThames.
