On a rainy July afternoon, Kriye Club hosted its annual Sip and Paint event on July 12,
2026, with the theme "July." With half the year already behind us and the rest quickly
approaching, Kriye aimed to create a space where students could step away from the
academic environment and let their imaginations flow. Sip and Paint is one of Kriye's
staple events, providing participants with art materials and drinks from the college cafe,
allowing them to take a break from the four walls of the classroom, sit back, unwind,
and spend quality time with friends.
A total of 15 participants joined the event, which began at 12 PM and continued until
around 4 PM. Participants were provided with an array of art supplies along with
coupons for drinks. They showcased their creativity in different ways while staying
connected to the theme of July. Some painted frogs resting on lily pads, others captured
bright sunny days with ducks, while many chose to portray the feeling of a rainy day
through their artwork. Each piece carried its own significance and reflected the
individuality and creativity of its creator.
The cozy atmosphere, with participants bringing along their friends, painting together,
laughing, and playing their own music, made the entire event feel warm and welcoming.
Seeing the space come alive with creativity and connection made all the effort put into
organizing the event truly worthwhile and fulfilling.
