Christmas is celebrated throughout the world. It symbolises joy, hope and generosity. Christmas is also the time to give back to the community. With that thought in mind, the Social work club of Thames has been conducting Christmas events as one of its fundraising events since a few years back. This year's Christmas event was titled “Christmas-Fest: A Winter Carnival”. The theme was white and silver to also symbolise the 25th year of Thames International College.
This is an annual signature event of the club. Every year, the club and members focus on working for a cause and giving back to community, a value Thames often cherishes and holds space for. This helps students bridge the gap between theory and practice introducing them with the idea of how social planning and action works.
