As a pre-symposium event, Thames Community Service Outreach Program, in partnership with NIDISI, hosted the "Stories of Menstruation" exhibition on campus. This traveling photo and video exhibition showcased the personal narratives of 18 Nepali women, highlighting not only their experiences with menstruation but also their stories of strength, resilience, dignity, and courage.
Students had the chance to engage deeply with these stories and reflect on broader issues surrounding menstrual equity and justice. The exhibition also included an informative segment on organic sanitary napkins, encouraging more sustainable and inclusive menstrual health solutions.
The theme of this year's symposium, Intergenerational Solidarity for Enduring Wellbeing, was powerfully reflected through the exhibition. Let's continue to break the stigma—together.
