The Spaces Between Us

The Spaces Between Us is a showcase encapsulating the conversations, reflections, and insights that emerged from sessions conducted as part of Mental Health Awareness Month. The theme for this year’s Mental Health Awareness Month was connection. Through the sessions, spread across May and June, we explored connections that are crucial for our well-being. Our connection with ourselves, our community, and the natural world was the central theme for the sessions. So, each of the sessions facilitated over the last two months explored these connections and how having a reciprocal relationship with these connections is important for our well-being.

The showcase was spread across two days. For Day 1 of the showcase, we opened the door for “The Spaces Between Us” with a guided tour for the students of Thames. The guided tour explored each theme of the showcase and gave our students insight into the process, intention, and conversations that shaped it. The guided tour was followed by a session in which students reflected on their takeaways and thoughts about the showcasSe.

The second day of ‘The Spaces Between Us’ welcomed participants from different colleges and institutions and people from diverse backgrounds. The day was filled with meaningful conversations and reflections on our relationship with these different connections. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who showed up and supported us throughout this whole process.
