Thames School of Business and Technology at Thames International College in partnership with the Management Club and IT Club organized Nepal Business Gabfest on June 29-30, 2017. It was a unique opportunity for college students to learn about the current issues, trends, and challenges in the Nepalese business environment." The two-day event included speaker series, panel discussions, workshops, and a lot of fun games. More than 600 students participated in the event.
On the second day, there was a discussion on the topic of Embracing the Opportunities and Challenges of ICT-Driven Business. The session was moderated by Mr. Allen Bilochan Tuladhar–Country Director of MIC Nepal and the panelists were Mr. Kedar Acharya, Assitant Director, of the Payment System Department from Nepal Rastra Bank; Mr. Durga Prasad Bhusal from the Department of Industry; Director (Industry Registration and Licensing Section); Mr. Asgar Ali, Vice President of F1 Soft and Mr. Sixit Bhatta, CEO of Tootle.
The event also had workshops on blogging, Agile Methodology -Scrum Framework, and Digital Marketing.
