International Students Attend an Interactive Session at Thames

International students from the School for International Training (SIT) Nepal visited Thames International College on March 5, 2025. This enriching cross-cultural exchange created a meaningful platform for dialogue between SIT's students and Thames College students.

The thoughtfully organized session enabled participants to explore diverse educational perspectives and cultural insights. Students engaged in substantive discussions comparing academic curricula, teaching methodologies, and learning environments across different educational systems worldwide. These conversations revealed both striking differences and unexpected commonalities in their educational journeys.

Beyond academic comparisons, the exchange delved into broader cultural dimensions as students shared perspectives on lifestyle differences and societal values. SIT students offered particularly valuable insights into their homestay experiences with Nepalese families, highlighting moments of cultural discovery and personal growth through immersion in local traditions and daily life.

As a global leader in experiential and field-based international education, SIT has cultivated deep relationships with communities worldwide. This exchange exemplified SIT's educational philosophy of promoting genuine cross-cultural understanding and global citizenship.

The session's impact transcends its brief duration, as students from both institutions developed enhanced intercultural competencies and global awareness. These newly formed connections contribute to an educational community with expanded worldviews and deeper cultural sensitivity, preparing students to thrive as thoughtful citizens in our increasingly interconnected world.
