Thames International College Partners with Mankaa Kura

Thames International College Partners with Mankaa Kura

In recent years, awareness around mental health, emotional well-being, and its impacts have become increasingly urgent. Yet, the importance of sensitizing sound emotional health and practicing mindfulness—both for oneself and others—is often overlooked. Recognizing this, Thames International College has taken a significant step toward destigmatizing mental health by formally partnering with Mankaa Kura, a prominent mental health counseling provider in Nepal.

Through a newly initiated Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the Thames Heart and Mind Hub—the college's dedicated well-being unit—aims to provide students with greater access to counseling services and mental health resources. This partnership highlights the college's commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where students can thrive emotionally, academically, and socially.

As an academic community, it is our responsibility to acknowledge the emotional challenges that students may encounter during their college years. With a dedicated team of professionals and peer guides to help the students of Thames navigate their feelings and emotions, Heart and Mind Hub aims to bring about positive change and facilitate conversations on good mental health practices within Thames.

Under this partnership, students can access free counselling sessions for a set number of sessions with a trained professional—fully covered by the college. In order to improve the way we discuss mental health issues and create room for everyone to feel supported and valued, we think that every conversation—no matter how small—matters.

To our students,  this is your reminder that your well-being matters, your feelings are valid, and you are never alone in this journey. If you're ever in need of support or a listner, the Heart and Mind Hub is always available via Instagram (@hear.and.mind.hub) or at heart.mindhub@thamescollege.edu.np
