Congratulations, Class of 2023!!!

Dear Class of 2023,

I offer you the warmest congratulations on behalf of the entire Thames Community.

For the class of 2023, Covid was a defining moment during your time at Thames. You have witnessed firsthand how fragile the world is, how unexpected life is and how vulnerable we can become. You have also experienced and witnessed how communities, families and friends came together and supported each other in times of crisis. While you’ve suffered immensely both at home and college, what you have endured, how you have persevered- with patience and elegance has helped prepare you to much more to take on life ahead.

And as you embark on your personal journey ahead, always remember that you are among the most talented individuals Nepal has ever seen. Your family members, friends, managers, subordinates, clients and others will always appreciate the attitude and skills you’ve developed over the years of education at Thames! And don’t forget the love you;ve found for learning! You now understand that learning can be fun and is a life-long process. You also now understand that learning is not limited to achieving high grades in exams, but learning is and should be for life.

Most importantly, you have become a responsible human being. Having sat in the most diverse classroom, you have developed a sense of humility, empathy and respect for others and their world views. You can now deal with most complex problems. Your ability to question the status quo and offer the most creative solutions will be an asset throughout your life. You are now a team worker who understands that the outcome of a team is much more gratifying than one could achieve alone.

Above all, you now understand that your achievement does not only belong to you and it would be wasted if it cannot bring about any impact in the society. Although we will not be meeting every day, this college is always yours and come back to us whenever your time permits. We will always be looking forward to your stories.
